This Florida Historical Marker is entitled Vigia de San Carlos St. Charles Watchtower , and is located in St. Augustine in St. Johns County, Florida. Marker can be reached from South Castillo Drive (State Road A1A), on the right when traveling north.

Vigia de San Carlos. St. Charles Watchtower. Signals were exchanged between this tower and a similar one across Matanzas Bay, on the ocean shore near the present lighthouse.
